Final Major Project: Attention Seeker

logo

A new agency ‘Attention Seeker’ is trying to promote a unique way of communicating messages using a fusion of analogue and digital media. Using the power of words and images with the inclusion of interactive technology, they aim to communicate positive messages that will influence a vast and wide audience. By utilizing basic electronic principles together with new circuit making materials, new forms of creative exploration is now being achieved.

The tactile qualities of analogue experimentation with circuitry and electrical principles have been seen as “old school” for quite some time. Incorporating these age-old principles into today’s technology driven creative arena takes away the sometimes sterile feel of web and interactive media seen in today’s creative melting-pot.

My aim in this project is to integrate simple electronic principles of circuitry into given visual elements such as print based media. Posters that light up when touched, typography that moves when stimulated and visual interactive design theatres are to be explored in a mix of 2D and 3D. I will try and create new ways in which the viewer interacts with common media giving them another sensory element/tool to play and interact with.

I created a series of posters and once rigged up people can then touch them to emanate sounds by touching the contacts and completing the circuit. Making everyone play and interact with each other and have fun.

once all was rigged up and ready to go, I also created some promotional material for people to take. Such as business cards, stickers, a little flyer with more information about the project, and keyring with a QR Code on the other side that leads to my website.
