sweet nibbles!

For my uni project I have decided to take pictures of my hamster (Ezio). This is because it relates to the title ‘Nibbles’ and he’s always ‘Entering and Exiting’ tubes (specially cardboard tubes) tunnels, and explore his environment. I’ve also managed to take some pictures of the patterns and texture of this fur,and also his paws too. This is so that I can incorporate them into my work using various methods of printmaking, and picture making.

Mono print – experiments

I created some interesting prints, using rollers and vegetable oil based lythographic ink. For the desired effect I ripped pieces of paper to form the word ‘Nibbles’ and just had a play around with the letters. Here are a few pictures of my experiments.

I then experimented further by trying to create images with the letters, and came out with some rather interesting results.

The journey begins with the first step…

I’m now back in uni and ready to get started on a new project called ‘Magawebzine’. I’m required to make a magazine called ‘Nibbles’ and the theme is ‘Entrances and Exits’. The final product for this project will be a physical copy of the magazine, the size will be an overall A2 sheet, which will be folded into a pocket/journal size magazine. I will also be blogging a lot during this project, of the different elements that I will come across (Research, development etc.). So stay tuned for some fun and exciting entries in this blog during the next couple of weeks…
